Maureen McDonnell was sentenced Friday to a year and a day in federal prison after an emotional, hours-long hearing in which the former first lady of Virginia apologized publicly for the first time since she and her husband were accused of public corruption.

The McDonnells weren't honest people. I'd cut both the McDonnell's sentences to 6 months, providing they both served in the same cell. That would then seem like a life sentence.
