Cruz is an asteriod in orbit waiting to be pulled into the atmosphere of planet GOP where he'll be incinerated before even touching the surface.
The GOP's primaries are going to be epic. Chris Christie, Rick Perry, Scott Brownback, Ted Cruz, Jeb Bush, Rand Paul, etc.
That roster is just f**k nuts. I've never seen so much bloviation all in one setting.

I don't know if Ted Cruz will win, but I can't see him getting incinerated. He's as sleazy as it gets, so he's perfectly suited for an all-out GOP slugfest.
Since he's the first to announce, he can stake out a position as the "true conservative", and everyone else will have to fight him for the spot. Christie and Bush can run as moderates, while Paul will obviously run as more of a libertarian, but Walker/Brownback/Perry/Carson etc. are all looking for the same part of the base that Cruz is now claiming

Sadly, Romney running again in 2016 may have been the Republican's best chance at taking back the white house.
