I am afraid we've been playing with antibiotics too much. Misuse of serious treatments leads to faster evolution of viruses and microbes. They become resistant to everything we've created to protect ourselves. 47 regional and local epidemics happened in the world since 2000.

If it goes on like this apocalypse scenario will include millions of death from unknown diseases we've never met before. I see nothing being done about addressing the problem itself. We are fighting symptoms, not the root cause. What do you think the government can do to prevent tragic consequences.

antibiotics have nothing to do with viruses

If people are self-diagnosing and taking left over antibiotics (an actual concerning phenomenon) for a viral infection, then I guess it happens all the time. But doctors don't prescribe antibiotics for viruses because, as Comrade pointed out, they have no impact on one another.
