Well... that certainly is ONE way to do it, LOL.
Not sure if this fits in with the recent stories of police brutality.
a) This guy was a threat to everybody, including himself--and armed
b) As bad as that was, he survived
Soooooo... I almost want to say, that was some pretty asymmetric strategy there!

Damn. He totally screwed up by not whipping the tail of his car at the end to clip him and the avoid the wall. A for effort and T for nice try, but don't trash your cruiser in the process when it would have only taken a little grazing to achieve achieve the same thing.

Or, just taze the guy, make his muscles spasm, he pulls the trigger, his head explodes . . . and you don't have to fix a cruiser.

i'm sad he survived. Would not a well placed head shot from a cops rifle have saved the taxpayers the cost of a new squad car and a cinder-block wall.

Had he put the gun down at any point prior to the hit, I'd call it excessive. But when you're carrying a loaded weapon and refuse to surrender it, yeah... That warrants a takedown.
A little reckless, as others have alluded to. But cool enough to forgive.
