14 people dead ...
How can people still support the death penalty, when there are so many stories of people wrongfully sentenced to death ? I can understand supporting it in a theoretical case where guilt is certain, but how can you support it in reality, when you know that there are so many innocents on death row ?

That's why I don't support it. For a hot minute there I almost thought as it pertains to the Boston bomber--I could support that... but ultimately couldn't even do that.

punishment is separate from finding of guilt and you have to assume (since it is true) that all are guilty beyond a reasonable doubt
