Pearl Harbour? That's what you think the worst thing the Japanese did in WW2? What about Manchukuo? What about Korea? What about the actions of the Japanese army in China? I respect the desire to mantain territorial integrity in the face of an imperialistic and expansionist China, but this "we are poor victims of Americans and we got bombed with 2 atomics" focus on WW2 is entirely too common in Japan. Some even take at face value the justifications given for the wars launched by Japan, i.e the "anti-colonialist" Greater East Asian Co-Prosperity Sphere, euphemistically named considering it entailed removing all foreign powers interferring in that sphere and replacing them with Japanese colonization and exploitation.
This ethnic rivalry form of politics is endemic in East Asia. Korea may "hate" China, but they're not entirely fond of Japan either. And vice versa.
