Why did you use a slash between violent and uncooperative? They are two totally different concepts.

A chick sitting at her desk, refusing to surrender a cellphone, is being uncooperative.

Some kid knocking out his teacher is being violent.

What is so hard to understand here? In one situation, force is not warranted. In the other, it is. All I ask of police officers is they not be total retards about the power we've given them.

You evacuate the space, call the parents or guardians, and handle it like an adult, not a violent animal. What do you want to happen? Some SWAT dickhead taking down a 15 year old?

every time i've seen a kid refuse to leave his desk the teacher has done the same thing: pickup or drag the desk with the student in it into the hallway. generally the embarrassment gets them to comply.

And if the mom and dad aren't going to be there? I had a soccer player who was a foster child, punched his foster dad, was 18 and homeless. Had mental stability issues, needed pills, etc. What stops him?

What stops him from what? Beating the shit out of you?
