indeed. i saw some exit polls.... demographics wise, bernie kills it in young voters. like close to 90% of people under 30. in open primaries without trump he would have gotten some older folks who are worried about the loss of manufacturing jobs to those Orientals as bernie like trump were the ones who have been consistently against free liberal trade
it's just wrong to think that all the people behind bernie are in it for supposed revolution. look at michigan, where bernie won. if you look at exit polls for dems, like 60% of them said the economy and jobs was their issue, and of those people almost all of them agreed with statements that said "trade hurts america". these people are uneducated and work in low skill jobs and just want that to continue, and they think the way to ensure that is protectionism, even as all economist know that's a dumb f**k idea. it's like the one thing economists agree on, which is partly why the republican and democratic parties, have, since WWII, been pretty much on the same page about it. but bernie and trump? they are populists capitalizing on people's fears
