The Japanese are still fundamentally fascist, so no.
South Korea? Not a bad idea, but I wouldn't want to antagonize China that much. Of course having the nuke there pretty much prevents China or North Korea from ever doing anything about said nukes, so maybe it's still a win.

It sounds like Trump has thought through this proposal and the potential consequences involved about as thoroughly as he did with his Wall.
I put in a similar amount of thought when I buy a Saffron at the grocery store. Seems like something I should have on hand but I have no idea if I'll ever bother using it. It's not cheap either, but what tha hell.

the japanese could have nuclear weapons ready to go in a year if they wanted to. but japan doesn't want nuclear weapons, and they certianly don't want american nuclear weapons. the last time nuclear weapons were sent to japan by americans it ended very badly for the japanese
that said a trump presidency would make all our allies anxious that the united states' word is no longer golden. not only would this damage us economically but militarily other countries would feel the need to build up which would increase tension that the pax americana has avoided
trump was also talking about billing other countries for our protection, like the us military is f**k mercs
