The only thing surprising about this is that so many journalists managed to STFU about a story this big for so long.

They put European names to what is basically an open secret. Everything I have read has been journalism making a big deal about journalism and less the actual kinetics of the corruption.

400 journalists collaborating for years to kick off the largest investigation in history is a big deal from a journalism point of view.

It's not big news here because, let's face it, how many Americans knew the name of the Icelandic PM before this story? How many Americans knew that Iceland had a PM? How many Americans know where Iceland is?
