The video from the cell phone is pretty bad. The guy was on the ground, and the cop pulls the gun and shoots multiple times at point blank range.
I think this was horrendously handled by these cops and they need to be charged/removed.
You also have to remember this is Louisiana, which unfortunately has had a major increase in murders and violence as of late.

You want to resist arrest while armed with a weapon you fail to mention to the cops, you gotta expect they are gonna freak out and shoot you. Police are dickheads but a armed felon resisting arrest really isn't the best case to show police brutality. Now if they shot him 5 times there is obviously an issue with that, but I have no clue how some of you think he wasn't fighting the officers.

He was standing still. With his hands raised. Sure, they told him to get on the ground twice, and he still stood there. But, he was doing nothing wrong to begin with. It's natural for a person to hesitate a bit when given an order that is so unexpected.
I mean, imagine you're at the grocery store, trying to decide between a ribeye and a t-bone. Then all of a sudden cops surround you and order you to the ground. You'll probably take a second to look around and figure out what the hell is going on before you hug the linoleum.
Even after he was on the ground, I saw no resistance.
However, I will be the first to admit that we don't see his right arm. And, he certainly didn't comply as quickly as possible. But, they didn't know he was a felon when they were talking to him.

Also, still no excuse for a cop being given 24 hours before he's questioned about the incident.
