Somebody asked me what its like to be white.
So I said, its great, you should try it some time, that's why you're here right ?

Being white is like being a quarterback whose special teams unit is so good that it consistently lets you start your drives from the opponent's 30 yard line rather than the typical scenario of starting at your own 20. Moving the ball 30 yards to get into the endzone isn't always easy, and if you suck, you will find plenty of ways to fail. But if you could post average point production starting at your own 20, you should have pretty damn good production from the opponent's 30. The consistent advantage your special teams gives you over other quarterbacks, should not go unnoted, however, this does not negate the fact that every time you throw a touchdown, you've been productive and accomplished something. Other QBs who start at their own 20 and must take the ball 80 yards for each touchdown have the odds stacked against them to score as many touchdowns as you, but it is possible.

The topic sparks a lot of passionate and contentious debate. On the rare occasion the guy who starts at his own 20 does score more than the guy on the opponent's 30, some will put this example on a pedestal, claiming it is proof that there's no inherent inequality of opportunity between the two circumstances. Some will claim the QB starting only 30 yards out was just given his touchdowns and all his scoring can be solely attributed to his favorable starting field position, regardless of how poorly or skillfully the QB played to get those 30 yards. Some will convince themselves that the refs must be trying to help out the guy with worse starting field position by giving favorable calls for his offense every drive, and therefore claim that the guy who went 80 yards didn't really achieve it on his own merits, and wouldn't have been able to do it without preferential treatment.

And then in 2016, a bunch of people in the stands will hold up signs that say "80 YARD DRIVES MATTER" while others will plot to ban all the other QBs with normal starting position from the league, because it would make football great again.

And the QB who always gets good field position will be confused and frustrated trying to understand why the other quarterbacks joke to each other about the difficulties of pulling off a successful 80 yard TD drive, but it's unacceptable for him to join in on the jokes.

Do you really think skin color attests for 62% of white people's success? because you're saying they start so far ahead and i don't think that's true

race at one point had a lot to do with it but i think it has little to do with it now. the problems for many blacks in particular is that their family structure, by and large, is nonexistent. the problem is that they are starting off poor. they are often poor because of lack of employment and lack of 2-parent households. it's all kind of cyclical with that and it's hard to get out of it. but the same problems can plague white america, which is why whitness i think adds at most one set of downs, to your own 30. dad adds another. your parents income threshold over poverty another. your parents education level another.... there's more factors than just "being white" and you know it

I have been white most of my life and have zero guilt about it. All this white privlege bullshit is just an excuse losers use to justify their being losers.
