So far this year, the # of people shot and killed by police is 706, according to the Washington Post. Our FBI will not have a real time database setup until next year.
https://www.washingtonpost.com/graphics ... ings-2016/Personally, I think the deaths are drowning out the proper debate for how we can prevent Americans from getting in the crosshairs of police in the first place, prevent people from being arrested by draconian drug laws, and look to build on going after real criminals. But, it is what it is.

Throw cops in jail if they use deadly force in an unjustified manner. Until you do that, every police shooting will result in a rush to judgement and riots.

Demonstrations in Charlotte are looking more and more like a giant herd mentality f**k up.
If reports are to be believed (<--read that part twice if necessary), the guy in question was armed, refused to put his gun down, and was therefor rightfully shot. By a black cop.
Everyone has just assumed the innocence of Scott and started with the destruction and ranting. But apparently there is dash cam footage under review.
All of this, for what (at this time, given what we are told<--read that part twice if necessary) was a rightful action by police. National Guard is being called in to contain a bunch of willfully ignorant asshattery. An additional life has now been lost over this.
f**k, top to bottom.
TULSA is where we should be having a nice loud freak out.

Good for Charlotte. Until there is actual accountability riot away bros. Maybe in 5 years after every city has faced the same sort of riots people will realize it's probably just easier to stop letting cops wantonly murder people.
