Senate Healthcare Bill

I think the GOP is going to pass this bill next Thursday - they can't suffer that big of a blow right now with their core constituency and they need a legislative win. On top of that McConnell is pressing hard on this and if it doesn't pass the senators opposed would probably face opposition at home in the form of a primary contender oriented with Trump.
What say ye?

obamacare was the last great effort of the boomer vampires to extract more from the youth, by capping the amount that olds can get charged. this was a massive wealth redistribution and if this bill removes this it will be a win for millennials although i don't think it goes far enough. there shouldn't be any type of restrictions on how much you can charge people based on age
sadly the debate is never about this, it's framed as a something about poors who were born with cystic fibrosis and hpv hands or some shit and how "we" should pay 3 million dollars a month for their continued care because it is the right thing to do
it'll pass, even through the screeching about it

But yeah. It'll pass. Obamacare was our only realistic first step towards joining the most basic standard set by quite literally everyone in the developed world but us. Everyone else has healthcare the way we have a post office or a public library.
But we can't hack it. Won't
allow ourselves to for the sake of ideological purity.

As long as HC is authored by lobby/bribery, it will continue to be an expensive joke. End of story.

I love that they're pushing this garbage.
http://www.msn.com/en-us/news/politics/ ... id=DELLDHPNow you need "continuous coverage." Huh, guess they got worried about that death spiral after all. Oh look...a form of a mandate guys.

John are you coo with this? I need some conservative voices here to express to me how this isn't a mandate and how it increases "access" to healthcare.

It'll pass because party before country.
Its funny that the Republicans are trying to say that this is the exact same thing the Dems did with Obamacare (the secrecy) even though there was over 100 hearings on the ACA. I was surprised that two of my coworkers were cursing Trump and McConnell this morning over the AHCA. They've been pretty solid Trump/Republican supporters up until now. They're both over 65 now so I think the fear is setting in that they may not be able to afford health care in the very near future, especially in retirement.
I find is humorous in a sad way because this is everything Trump said his health care plan wouldn't be.
But then again, he knows more about ISIS than the generals and has a 30 day plan to defeat them...
