When people choose not to vote

Elections are here and now and there’s a lot of things on my mind regarding it.
Over the years ive seen my fair share of people say they don’t vote for a number of reasons, whether they’re uninformed, they don’t trust the electoral process or are just generally disillusioned with it all. 10 or more years ago, had someone told me they don’t vote I’d say they were being unAmerican, despise democracy and should be stripped of some of their rights.
Now that I’m older and have witnessed multiple elections, I realize that not only was that an extreme view for me but also that maybe I sympathize with folks who are apathetic. Especially when I read my friends statuses on Facebook saying they don’t wanna be friends with non voters.
For what it’s worth i vote in every election that takes place, always have since I came of age, my point is that when people are really meh on elections, I don’t blame them at all now, I may even agree.
I’m also of the belief that uninformed voters are a worse cancer than those who don’t vote at all: at least no voters are honest about their feelings.
