Russia fired at 2 and rammed at a third ukrainian naval vessel, seizing the three vessels and imprisoning all the sailors
this happened in the Kerch strait where the russians just built a giant bridge between russia and crimea. they now claim the ukranians were entering russian waters illegally

now the ukranians have declared (or "Set to declare"?) martial law

this all goes back to the damn red line, which emboldened putin. now, with his patsy in office he'll do whatever he'll damn well pleases.
the united states should guarantee the independence of Ukraine, and it would be nice if our NATO allies joined. sadly our organ in foreign affairs is really Putin's. so it must fall to europe, and europe should guarantee ukraine's independence. if push comes to shove there is no way in hell we'd betray europe to russia. the man would be removed from office if he tried
