i liked how mueller offered nothing new because it was all in the report, which is what he already said, but a tv moment was needed because apparently people refuse to read, and during which testimony he just said to refer to the report repeatedly. it was an exercise in someone reading a report to him and him just agreeing that is what he wrote, like it's some sort of 1st grade class. and speaking of children, then the republicans just went off on tangents without asking questions really at all. i disagree with your assessment that they are incredibly stupid and unsophisticated exploited. i think they knew very much what they were doing in how to frame the testimony for the masses. this is to prime the people for backfire effect where when presented with facts that go against preconceived notions they are more likely to dig in further rather than change their minds
