i mean we were all fooled because it was so easy to be fooled on this. good for manchin taking that all on while actively working to get something passed. at first blush it looks like it hits some pretty big items, while reducing the deficit (as democrats always do, unlike republicans, who never do but claim they do). fooling mcconnell though is hilarious. mcconnell's whose pearls are certainly being clutched, has killed his own bills when he found it expedient. the man has done more damage to the senate and America than anyone else in american history so getting one on him is always a good time

It's 2022. Russia invaded Ukraine, NATO and the EU came together, Roe is no more, and Nancy Pelosi just visited Taiwan.
I think the year has more in store for us yet.

oh look at that, Sinema is going to play, doomers
Manchin put in the 14 billion of carried interest provision as the thing she could pull. it was made for that. we should def do that, but looks like to get the Inflation Reduction Act passed it's going to not be in it. oh well
I mean honestly, how many 2 term presidents can count the amount of wins Biden has had in only 2 years

Well. Biden is underappreciated. But he also lost control of the narrative basically in his first week. So does it matter? They painted him as doddering and weak and it f**k stuck. Even the Dems want him gone. Game over.
C'mon. Its been three years of unimaginable f**k. We're got grown ass adults terrified of vaccinations and shooting dewormer instead. The GOP controls the Senate despite losing the Senate. The SCOTUS is borderline Handmaids Tale shit. The House is doomed. The Russian have once again proven immune to everything short of protracted extermination, pop tart tank turrets notwithstanding. China is all wound up to f**k Taiwan into the bottom of the Marianas Trench using Putin's oiled up dick. And we're right back where we started in 2016, fending off Donald Trump (I still can't f**k believe it) to keep him out of the china shop.
DOOOOM.

Yeah...pretty damn good week for Biden and the Dems here.
PACT? Passed (Thank you Jon Stewart for relentlessly shaming the GOP on this one)
CHIPS? Passed (Handouts but...the rest of the world does the same to prioritized industries)
IRA? Passed (f**k yes but Sinema - JFC we know who owns you)
Price of Gasoline? Still dropping (Just saw it under $5 gallon here in CA)
Unemployment? DROPPED to 3.5% after amazing numbers (but also a harbinger of possible wage-price spiral)
Trump? Looks like the DOJ WILL actually investigate 1/6
Alex Jones? First of MANY lawsuits awards victims over $53 Million - what is that? two dozen more families to go?
Kansas primary with vote on abortion rights? Not even close
Annnd lastly generic ballot has the Dems making back their losses
I'd like to see inflation decline now...but that usually takes months/years to meaningfully revert to the mean.
