Obama is the lesser of two evils

My position is if you vote for a republican or democrat you're part of the problem not the solution. Yes, there are differences between the two parties but for the most part they are the same shit doing the bidding for the same corporate overlords.

There are two primary reasons why I think a second Obama term would be better than a first Romney term.

1. Obama would be president a second and final term. There would be no real incentive for the republicans to try f**k Obama on everything in order to get him out of the white house since he would be leaving anyway. I found that the two parties work better together during a presidents second term opposed to a first.

2. Trickle-down economics just doesn't work and that's exactly what Romney will try to implement. Wealthy people do not make business decisions based on current tax code. When they get tax breaks they end up just keeping that money. The degree of deregulation that the republicans favor is dangerous as well. During the last few years of Clinton's presidency deregulation began. It continued under Bush as well as tax breaks primarily geared toward the rich. Where were all the jobs created? All we got was additional debt. Anyone who buys into trickle-down economics are a fool. This doesn't mean that the dems have brilliant economic ideas. However, the general principle of growing the middle-class instead of hooking up the wealthy and waiting for wealth to trickle down is more sound.

On Topic: I don't think any country can truly be served if four hundred million people have only two realistic choices to vote for. The best thing that could possibly happen to America is the dissolution of the Democrat and Republican parties.

Addressing the OP, and IBTL.

I'm voting for Romney, though I will likely vote for (Dem) Senator Landrieu when she comes up for election next time. And, likely against (Rep) Senator Vitter. But for (Rep) Jindal if/when he runs for anything else. I vote for people.

Why Romney? His policies are better for the insurance and business community (those businesses I'm interested in, at least). It would be good for my bank account, basically.

I hesitate to bring it up, since I have never found a link for it. But, I'm reminded of a poll that some guy here in South Louisiana did years back. Basically, they called a few hundred people about the economy and asked them, "Are you better off now than 4 years ago?" then, "Do you think that most other people are better off?"

Something like 60% said they were better off. But, about 70% said that others weren't better off. Statistically, that's impossible. It showed that people do not have a good idea of how other people are doing. The lesson that I learned is to determine how things affect you, and don't try to guess about others.
