Was it an actual threat or just him in character? If he is in law school he should know that he won't win the case.
Sigmund Freud defined four parts of a psyche; the id, the ego, the superego and the stratego. The Stratego being the highest form of morality and scientific thinking.

Why is this worthy of an announcement?
Anyway, here's what you do.
Go dig up one of the few photos that guy posted of himself, email HLS, let them know that some of their "practicing lawyers" are working on suing you, and that your lawyer will be in touch with the school shortly.
That'll teach him to threaten people.
