Yeah, if there is a merger we cannot keep that name. As I was afraid, it's a conservative leaning site. Nothing wrong with that, mind you, but I think the website should have no slant. The would "patriot" or versions of it will bring in most conservative voices and I'm afraid that in that scenario we'd end up with non-conservative voices censored as tends to happen in these places (the same is true of the reverse, btw).
Our name here indicates no built in bias. That is not to say the site may no lean one way or another, maybe reflective of the internet political waves at the time, but that the website name itself is wholly unbiased. "Patriotic" will bring in conservative posters in large qualities versus other posters much like a website using "progressive" would bring in liberal ones to the detriment of non-liberal voices.
I recommend, if we don't keep this name, a non-biased forum name.
Also, correct me if I am wrong, but it seems like you recently created that forum and are looking to buy this one to buy us, the members, to build up the site? yes?
