There comes a time for change

I was the first donor to ever get banned on this site so there was no precedent on how the VIP status would be handled. It's not something that bothers me, but again, I'm less likely to redonate my hard earned money when I know the privileges afforded can be snatched away and never returned even after I've done my time and come back to the site.

Yeah that's true but I'm discussing why I would not redonate, not the circumstances of my ban and return.

Yea I agree with Philly. I donated but got it snatched away in like 2 weeks. It's a trivial amount but I'm never donating again when it just get's taken away from you. It would be one thing if the rules were consistently enforced but I've been banned for minor things that while technically are against the rules, everyone on this forum does regularly now. It's like setting the speed limit at 15 mph and then selectively choosing the same two people to give tickets to all the time despite the fact that everyone is speeding.

Also, even southern dad realizes how ridiculous it is to have a forum this small, with 18% of registered users banned. You would think you are trying to keep this place tiny.

Fun fact: I've been banned twice, neither time for a rule violation.

When I was put on post approval it was like Saz said: rule violations that everyone engages in.
