For the time being, we've decided to give users the option of turning OFF the word censoring.

To adjust the settings:

User Control Panel
Board Preferences
Edit Display Options
Enable Word Censoring

Default is set to on. If there's problems with it, please let me know. Otherwise, it'll remain an option available so long as posts don't turn into colorful swearing contest

I think in about a month you should run a poll, to see how many have it turned on/off.

The word filter list is very small. I only added the words that I felt would either be abused or meant to enflame the entire community. The list may be modified as needed in the future.

Of course if everyone turns off filtering, the list becomes a moot point.

Well if Nazi gets abused, it will get added. Fun Lovin German is a good one.

I wouldn't be for censoring "Nazi" since there are too many legitimate uses if one is discussing history.
