Non-Opinion Based Topics

Where does this topic go. I know it's mentioned in the Lounge, but this type of topic would easily turn political which shouldn't be part of the Lounge (see: Twinkies topic from earlier).

But at the same time, there should be somewhere for political topics to go that aren't necessarily about arguing a point but rather discussing what was said or what happened. I always thought the General Discussion forum was that place.

Let's say there's a Fiscal Cliff Deal this week. Do I have to make an argument or opinion when posting the thread about the facts of the agreement? I'm a bit confused and a clarification would help me in the future.

Just my two cents, but when you try to make the title funny with something mocking liking "daddy didn't want the job" even though that isn't what was said, then go in to put no opinion worth debating in the OP it sets up a pretty weak general discussion thread.

those are all stupid topics. It was an lol romney thread, mostly, but i was afraid it would get political in the lounge.

From now on I'll post those topics in the lounge and if they become political, it's up to the mods to deal with it.
