Please: moratorium on new threads rehashing the gun debate?

On the first page of 'view active topics' there are at least 7 threads all discussing the exact same thing; the current gun control debate that's going on in is country. It's getting really annoying. Can we get a decree from King Über that we don't need any more of these redundant threads?

Why don't you go through the threads and list them here, and which ones currently have the same discussions going on? Cuz I'm not seeing any redundancy atm.

I don't really see it as a problem. If you really don't like the threads, as I don't, just don't go in them. I just wanted to register my disgust with them all here. I don't think there should be any real moratorium on them. When a serious issue gets a lot of attention there shouldn't be anything wrong with multiple threads about it, especially when they are all focusing on various facets of said issue.

I'm not saying they are all identical or should even all be a single thread but 7 is a bit much and we certainly don't need anymore

though i do agree with the general sentiment that there are too many gun related threads recently

and it does seem to happen when someone thinks the argument they were making in the main thread

was so special that it deserved its own spinoff thread

so none are truly about the exact same thing

but it does feel redundant

i have a habit of simply ignoring these subsequent spinoff threads
