It says in the rules that sources must be cited. However, there have been recent citations on the forum of someone just saying "I got it from XYZ." To me, that is not a legal citation. I've read the definition and it said that a direct link to the article must be included. Some forum got sued because someone didn't cite properly.
I think the definition of what citing an article should be added into the rules as an extension of number 4 so everyone knows what it is. I am always very careful to include a direct link with every quote I have to ensure that it's clear that its not me saying it.
I was told that the proper way to cite an article in a public forum is the include the quote in a quote box followed or preceded by a direct link to the article or whatever that is being quoted.
The OP of this thread on this forum has the same idea I do as copyright infringement lawsuits are nothing to laugh at.
