Ueb, I know you have enough on your plate and this is simply something I think would be cool in the future for the site.
http://developer.ubuntu.com/resources/t ... s/webapps/Or maybe a political-crossfire lens to quickly search threads and sections?
http://askubuntu.com/questions/38772/wh ... -availableWould be easy to add to the Ubuntu Software Centre and such.

Ok I watched the videos but it looked like everything he was doing, he was doing through Ubuntu, not through a website. Unless I'm missing something.

There are apps encoded into Ubuntu such as the twitter one. I don't know if it involves participation from the site, such as twitter, or in this case PCF, or not. Not many people using ubuntu. I wouldn't be bothering with it. I'm pretty sure he's asking you to develop these apps yourself (you would have to develop the lens for sure) which would be f**k ridiculous. Ubuntu is pretty sweet, but it's just the biggest pain in the ass.

I didn't say that you were making demands, only that as far as I knew the lens would have to be developed and that I thought that would be ridiculous. Who would be doing the developing here?

I don't mind doing the developing. The lense doesn't require any site privileges since lenses just search the site for content. The web apps would require Uber's assistance because their are scripts that would have to be placed in js files.
