Whites carried out slavery in the southern US for several generations, are we allowed to comment on the implications of that or do we need to qualify every statement with

"obviously there may have been some whites not involved but..."

I think the same applies here. The boomer generation may not all have acted in unison, but the sum of their actions is being felt and will continue to be felt. That this is not available for discussion is absurd.

Use your freaking head. Make a topic about the political implications of baby boomers, but don't make a thread that says "baby boomers suck!" Be a little more cerebral.

Boomers are statistically more likely to support politicians who will spend, spend, spend, but not raise the taxes necessary to cover that spending, ensuring the debt for such programs is passed down to younger generations.

Both of these statements are true. I don't see why we can't discuss them.
