I hope this continues. Northerners will bring northern values and help you grow out of your 1950s mindset. In a generation or less the south will no longer be the hillbilly mecca it is and will instead be dominated by open minded and much less hateful individuals.
That's a win win except for people like SD. but those people are dinosaurs anyway.
