I like the R&D benefit that the fighting is giving the engineers using the Iron Dome interceptor system. Going to need it ourselves somewhere down the line.

In perusing the article you linked it sounds like most aid was designed to further economic development as a means of increasing the likelihood of a two-state solution (ie, giving people skin in the game so they care).

I dunno. I haven't really seem a logical argument in favor of your position yet.

Gaza needs to be raised to the ground and it's inhabitants deported to the Arab countries that will have them. The West bank needs to be annexed and its Arab inhabitants deported in the same way. Then and only then will there be peace within Israel. But for those pesky rockets coming from Lebanon/Hezbollah that is.

No doubt. Aid is always diverted from the most worthy recipients sadly. I'm just not sure I see the widespread conspiracy to continue the conflict for personal financial gain thst you alluded to earlier.

I really think this. You could move Israel from where it is now, into the Arizona desert (all the people, all the buildings, everything), and there would still be massive violence in the ME.
