Cable newsers love war because it instantly fills their programming day. You can literally talk about it 24/7. What we might do. What they might do. Have all sorts of "experts" on: generals, soldiers, etc. Talk about the weapons we'll use. It's a cable net's wet dream.
Which of course is why they were going to do nothing to discourage it, especially with the competition jumping on the bandwagon without question, playing urgent martial music and wearing flag pins and airing video packages of smart bombs finding their targets.
And here we are years later, with a war so asinine it makes Vietnam look like a good idea and yet not one person has been held accountable for it.
