1,000 Nuclear Power Plants

Every time when the subject of green energy comes up or the evils of oil, I have always given my idea that what this nation needs is at least 1,000 nuclear power plants. My fuel source was going to be thorium. I opined that these reactors would be cheap, efficient, and most importantly safe. My idea was to have our nation totally off carbon based electricity, i.e., not one watt of electricity produced by hydrocarbons in our entire country. I believe this could be done in ten years. Twenty at the most if the politicians get involved.

Well...................

I just, tonight, heard about Taylor Wilson. I believe he is the follow on to creators like Bill Gates and Steve Jobs. He even seems to even look like them and have a lot of their mannerisms.

I think nuclear energy is definitely too important of an energy resource to be ignored. Nuclear power should be developed further.

we thought oil was endless too. the claims of "thousands of years worth of uranium" and all that mean nothing to me.

plus you don't just convert a nuke plant to a new type of fuel the way you do a coal or oil plant.

every house could be outfitted with solar panels capable of providing them with all their energy requirements, assuming they aren't assholes who run 29348247 appliances at once with the lights on.

doing that to every house and small building in the country would eliminate so much energy use.
