Studies show by the State Law Association of Teen Driving, that more than 500 people, mostly teens, in the U.S. died during the year of 2012 due to texting and driving or drinking and driving. Teens have to realize that they are going to end their lives due to texting and driving or drinking. They think that talking to their friends is more important than their own lives.

the driving age really should be increased. 16 year olds are f**k retards and i am truly surprised the death rate for new drivers isn't 50%

Most eighteen year olds are retards as well.
Maybe, states should make driving school mandatory before getting a license.

Texting while driving should be treated the same as drunk driving, because it is the same.
Make the penalties draconian. That shit will clear up quickly. Something like: if you're caught texting and driving, you forfeit your license for at least one year. Second offense? Massive fine. Third offense? Jail time.
