If Trump plays this right he could work with House Dems to pass large infrastructure bills, extend this economic expansion, invest in future economic gains and global competitiveness, and ride that to a 2020 win. He could even use Dems as scapegoats in the process.

Also - Medicaid had a great night tonight. Obamacare is being solidified in red states jimmy...this is great news. With the House firmly Dem ACA is here to stay.

Surprisingly CA voters are voting down the water bonds for the San Joaquin valley...this makes me happy. The state should not take on debt to ensure private farms profitability. Rent control bill lost by a lot. Prop to micromanage dialysis clinics went down in a ball of flames. Gas tax stays (12 cents a gallon - ohhhhh noooooooo).

Interesting result in Oregon's 2nd district...a lesbian Democratic liberal managed to pull 40% of the vote against a well-loved incumbent Republican...in a district entirely populated by cattle ranchers and alfalfa farmers and various Bubbas and Cletuses who used to literally burn Obama in effigy. (I went to high school there. I know how it is.) I thought McKleod-Skinner would have been completely flattened....but she pulled a respectable turnout. Would have been unthinkable in the past that she would do this well in that district.

And every ballot measure broke my way. Even the Governor race turned out not as close as predicted. And our governor is a complete moron who only got into office in the first place because her predecessor, also a Dem, resigned in shame and scandal while she happened to be SecState. If not for trump, I am convinced she would have lost.

A decent midterm election. Not the blowout people were fantasizing about, but solid progress.

My lesbian democrat liberal Sinema thinks she has won her Senate seat. My female heterosexual Republican conservative ex-Air force A-10 Warthog fighter pilot with several tours in Iraq and Afghanistan thinks she has won. A recount is in progress. 1% lead for the Con.

Big night for lesbians across the country. Even a redskin lesbian won.

Our Senator Jon Tester just squeaked by (to be fair he's always just squeaked by). 4 trips by Trump campaigning against him couldn't oust him. Unfortunately the reporter beater got re-elected. I really thought it would be a bit closer in the house race. I was looking at the demographics between Tester voters and Kathleen William's voters (she ran against Gianforte). the 18-24 age group voted 10% points more for Tester than they did for Williams and the woman demographic voted 4-5% points more for Tester than they did for Williams. Rest of the demographics were pretty consistent. I can't quite wrap my head around that one.
