Sanders' main issue is inequality, which, if you want to see it addressed, demands big action. Incrementalism isn't going to help. We've had multiple Democratic presidents who have preached incrementalism in the past 40 years, and in each case, not only did the problem not improve -- it got worse. Sanders is proposing an FDR style shift in economic policy. You can agree or disagree with it, but to suggest that incrementalism is an acceptable alternative to same problem is naive at best and more likely just dishonest.
