Posted: Wed Nov 07, 2018 11:06 amHurf likes the Palestinians, even though their viability was destroyed several decades ago and maintaining the charade of them ever getting a state is doing tremendous and utterly pointless harm. Israel war crimes and illegal occupation will continue until the Palestinians are pushed into the sea, or another country takes them. As Israel is a nuclear state, there is no way to stop this, so it may actually be more humane to just get it over with. Although when you're talking about this level of suffering, it is hard to compare two methods in terms of compassion.

Posted: Wed Nov 07, 2018 11:16 amthe DFL slaughtered the Republicans in Minnesota. only bright spot for republicans was the hold in the special election in the state senate (most of which was not up for vote, except for one seat). the hold means they maintain a one-vote majority in the state senate.

an entire ring of suburbs all flipped. in all it was an 18 seat change, changing from 73-61 republican control to 75-59 DFL control
TWO (yes, two) marijuana parties got major party status in minnesota last night
The state auditor race saw a candidate over 5%

and so did attorney general

which brings us to the last point. muslim family values advocate keith ellison won attorney general
people i talked to said "i voted for him because if he really did drag and beat his girlfriend he could be charged and then he'd be replaced by another democrat"
oh and the only reason why one congressional seat up north flipped red was because the democrats put up somebody who had a bad background (drugs, driving with suspended license, etc). had some great ads with how he's spent his "whole life running from the law and now he's running for office". anyway. it was the DFL's major blunder. they probably felt that was probably going to go red anyway because the miners up there are happy with trump anyway, though
