the DFL slaughtered the Republicans in Minnesota. only bright spot for republicans was the hold in the special election in the state senate (most of which was not up for vote, except for one seat). the hold means they maintain a one-vote majority in the state senate.

oh and the only reason why one congressional seat up north flipped red was because the democrats put up somebody who had a bad background (drugs, driving with suspended license, etc). had some great ads with how he's spent his "whole life running from the law and now he's running for office". anyway. it was the DFL's major blunder. they probably felt that was probably going to go red anyway because the miners up there are happy with trump anyway, though
