The Dow Jones Industrial Average ended down more than 600 points. Obviously nobody, including the Divine One, wants to see his name misused for any ungodly purpose.
Perhaps long after Trump fades away into history, what the world could still remember most vividly was the moment he looked up at the sky as he claimed to be the "Chosen One" to mount a trade war with China.
Meanwhile, Trump's self-proclaimed messianic status may give us an inkling of how some people in Hong Kong see democracy. Perhaps they are feeling a twinge of envy for the Americans who are so lucky to choose a messiah as their leader out of a population of 329,000,000.
