yeah the social media circus started the second it happened, the clickbait articles started ~12 hours later, and then actual news sources picked up on it a day later. it didn't become news because he apologized, he apologized because it became news.

and what pisses me off is that his f**k shirt consumed so much of the news cycles time instead of the actual comet landing.

He shouldn't have been so upset by it but you cannot say that it was a good decision for him to wear such a shirt when he KNEW the media and millions of people were going to be watching. I'm not saying I'm offended by the shirt, but if I were in his position, I would at least be wearing something a bit more professional. That doesn't mean stuffy, but damn - that shirt is tacky as hell. You can wear something nerdy and not be completely tasteless.

Doesn't matter if a woman designed the shirt so I'm not really sure what point you are making by saying that.
