If Barack Obama wanted that server and its contents, he'd simple have the attorney general make sure she complies with the subpoena already issued for the emails. A few FBI agents, a couple techs. Problem solved. Of course, there would be that pissed off old lady to deal with later.

As has already been explained at least a half-dozen times, there are already about eighty million ways for people at her level to avoid scrutiny of wrongdoing. Picking up the phone or meeting face to face is the easiest, using anonymous throwaway emails is another.

Other than disliking Hillary and wanting a reason to attack her (and there is no lack of material there so I don't get why a contrived controversy is required), there is no reason for caring about this.

It seems if she used her private server to conduct official business, her server should no longer be seen as private. Although she thinks she can say what can be searched, my guess her server will be arrested in the next few weeks. Yes we can't.

as SM pointed out she was doing official stuff on her email. I don't think there's some grand evil cover-up here but I do think it's in line with her high-handed corporatist authoritarianism.

no doubt there was some real juicy stuff in those emails about Libya and Syria...stuff the non-hawks in the Democratic party would probably like to know.
