I don't have much of a problem with Islam the religion. It's as fantastically retarded and nonsensical in the modern world as any other fairy tale created hundreds of years ago, but believing in it doesn't make anyone automatically violent or fanatical. I have a problem with Islam the political ideology. Pretty much exactly the same stance I have on Christianity of any denomination. The problem is disasociating the two, especially when they are synonymous for so many of it's adherents. Idiotic weasel words like "Islamophobia" don't help either. I have yet to be called a "Christianophobe", but apparently muslims are nothing more than semi-retarded children in the eyes of the neo-White Man's Burden brigade and can't be held to the same standards as other human beings lest they, allah forbid, get offended. It's the racism of lowered expectations x100.

well it seems like going on and on about terrorism and islamic violence is about invoking the fear response on a social level so its natural to assume the guy doing it shares that fear

I think christinophobe is probably a valid concept for the "islamophobe's" muslim counterpart

but there are plenty of materialists in either culture too. and yes, maybe even some who only pretend to participate in that belief system for social reasons
