I noticed that the six shots went from the lowest on his wrist in an almost vertical line up his arm to the two head shots that were fatal. I shoot a lot and muzzle flip, if not corrected for by technique, can make your hits move up in height like that. If the first round was fired in car as the officer was being beat-on I don't think the officer should have exited and continued to shoot. But if reports of broken orbital bones are correct I think the officer was on pure adrenaline and not thinking clearly due to the stress of the encounter and being accosted in an unexpected way on a simple stop-n-contact for jaywalking or whatever.
I've read that there is more and more a propensity for people being contacted by police to be uncooperative and resist arrest more and more.
