There is a huge schism between Second and Third Wave feminism, and has been for years.
Anti-pornography feminists are almost exclusively Second Wave, and are typically either a Boomer or just a little younger. Third Wave feminists are typically Generation X and younger.
The major ideological difference is on whether the virtues of femininity can be linked with gender. Second Wave feminists believe that women have unique personal and social needs, that are fundamentally different (the hardcore fringe would say opposed) to mens. To them, a woman doing porn was degrading herself to gain favour from the patriarchy.
Third Wave feminists think that is nonsense, and that we all have essentially the same needs, with basic personality and upbringing informing the rest of who we are. To them, a woman who choose to do porn can be either a victim or a success story, depending on why she is doing it and under what circumstances. Is this a drug addict, or a person trying to pay for college, or baby food? A child abuse victim, or a married couple getting paid to experience their fantasies on the internet?
When the Second Wave dies off, it'll correct itself.
