That was not a threat. At all. It was so bad that after he ran the rounds and made his way to Meet the Press on Sunday his story was dropped unanimously. I have heard nothing since.

I'm meh on Woodard. I don't think it was a threat, but at the same time maybe not a good idea for WH staff to be emailing the media that are critical of them talking about "regrets" and shit.
If the admin feels they need to defend themselves against lies and distortions, send Carney's ass up to the podium and have him put some PR out. Don't block out certain press and send out e-mails because someone dares be critical of your admin.
