It becomes illegal when they built settlements and transferred populations, which they did between 1967 and 1981. In some bizarre alternate universe, I'm sure Israel didn't do those things. But they did in this one. Then they annexed it, also illegal.
If I am allowed to park someplace between 4 PM and 6 PM, but I park there at 7 PM, would you say I was parking illegally? Of course. My description isn't even wrong, although I'll gladly say it was if it means you guys will actually address the overarching point of my post. But I doubt it. You'll just get slapped down again.

It isn't an assumption, it is basic fact. You cannot transfer civilian populations. It is illegal. You cannot build settlements. It is illegal. Israel did both of those things while occupying Golan Heights, ergo their occupation was illegal, because it didn't satisfy the requirements of international law.
Your argument is that just because I did something illegal doesn't mean what I did was illegal. I could have theoretically done it legally in an alternate universe. In the same sense, Israel could have occupied Golan Heights legally, but it didn't and still doesn't.

Now would any of you like to address the fact that you supported the murder of 20 nonviolent protestors trying to enter illegally annexed land?

No, ergo the occupation was not illegal, which is why it is still occupied. The annexation and settlements were illegal.

If it is still occupied, the occupation is illegal, because it does not adhere to international law. What is so hard to understand about this. As I said, if I am allowed to park between 4-6 PM, and I park at 7 PM, I am parking illegally. Doing absurd mental gymnastics doesn't change this.
