How exactly does that make the occupation magically legal? Until they stop the settlements, reverse annexation and allow civilians to return, they are best described as illegally occupying the Golan Heights. Because that is the fundamental truth of the matter, which for some reason you guys seem desperate to avoid.
But I certainly agree that in some alternate universe, Israel is legally occupying the Golan Heights.

Incorrect. It has never adhered to the laws that govern occupying powers, and therefore it is illegal. It could be a legal occupation, but it is not. Just like I could park legally between 4-6 PM, but that doesn't mean parking at 7 PM is legal.
