Never defend yourself. But I think even he wanted the death penalty himself, so it seems pretty likely at this point.

If those soldiers in that base were allowed to carry weapons there wouldnt have been a massacre.

I think the sad thing here is it took this long to get this to trial. 2009 and just now in 2013 do we finally have a conviction. Its not like there was doubt over what happened or anything. This could have gone to trial 1-2 months after the incident and they would have the same damn results. So we pay him for 4+ years to sit in jail after killing 13 people and we pay the people he injured nothing.
