Front Page News now open to the public!

We're going to try this out and see how it goes. When a guest posts, they only need to put in some kind of username and answer the captcha (make sure scripts are enabled for the site!) Posts will currently show up immediately after hitting post and will not require moderator approval. This is subject to change if we start getting abuse, such as spammers, trolls, etc.

Guests cannot start new topics currently and their posts are subject to the same rules as the rest of the forum (no personal attacks, extremely foul language, etc).

Yay!!! Will they easily know when they visit that they can post?

I just logged off to see what I'd see as a guest. It'd be nice to have an announcement on the landing page, because otherwise it's very difficult to tell that I can make comment as a guest.

So can I finally realize my dream of posting via sock puppet in this new setup?

Hah, I don't even know what the organizing situation was like, but if it had anything to do with human microphones..

Apologies for hijacking a thread. I've not tried to be active much recently but I'm struggling to stay logged in when I do. I'll remained logged in for 10 seconds max before being logged out again. I've moved to to Bangkok so I don't know if that's affecting it, but it's kind of annoying the few times I do want to post, so I'm wondering if there's anything either I can do or you can do ueber!
