For me, if it works I'm fine with it. You have to pick your poison -
Risk not winning either chamber of congress to honor local campaigns and thus allowing Trump to run unchecked for the rest of his term (and anything else the GOP wants to pass) or...pursue a strategy that you think will cement a victory necessary to gain that check on his power (as the GOP continues to abdicate its duties).
With the DCCC's track record though ala 2016 it should give everybody pause.
