I don't think its about being unreliable, but more about using it to gather information and not just using it as the only evidence.

I know they are supposed to be impartial, regardless, but..........I wonder if the general mood of the legal apparatus, is playing a role with all of these intrusive decisions. We've had the PA for over 10 years, there's been a ton of things happen around all of this WoT bs.
Could they be posoined in favor of the state in this matter? Others?
with every power they grant to the state, the balance must be shifting away from individual rights and protections in terms of legality and respect.
I do not care for or agree with the decision.
