Pointing out that blazing contradiction isn't "screwing" with anybody. It's actually a great demonstration of how we've be conditioned to define what a "threat" is.

We fear dark skinned Muslims but not white dudes in Brooks Brothers suits or behind computer screens monitoring all our private communications. We fear people who allegedly are gonna take our guns but any other liberty they take we roll over.

My favorite is the complete 180 pulled by the usual suspects: the Hannitys, the O'Reillys, in that they only see a threat when it's not The Party in power. Surveillance under President Cheney: necessary! Under Obama: he's Hitler dontcha know!
